Our Mission

The mission of the Lane Regional Medical Center Foundation is to support the hospital in its goal of providing the very best healthcare services, technologies and programs to every patient that enters our doors. The Lane RMC Foundation provides an avenue for community involvement and philanthropic giving to help Lane Regional Medical Center provide life-saving services and technologies. It is the Foundation’s ongoing goal to Every gift, however large or small, plays an important role in supporting specific projects identified by the Foundation Board that complements the mission of Lane Regional Medical Center.  Corporate, community and employee volunteers work together through the Foundation to raise money from individuals, corporations and other foundations to build and sustain a financial legacy ensuring healthcare excellence for future generations.

 

 

Current Campaign

Goal: To raise $1 million for new cancer treatment services on Lane’s campus.

Project: Lane Regional Medical Center in partnership with Baton Rouge General Medical Center has opened a $4.5 million state-of-the art Radiation Oncology Center on Lane’s campus. The Radiation Oncology Center, led by cancer experts Drs. William Russell and Andrew Lauve, opened in March 2014. The new center will bring leading-edge radiation cancer treatment services to community members in the entire region.

Commitment:  Lane’s commitment of $1 million will go towards purchasing a Linear Accelerator, one of the most advanced radiation technologies in the world.  It delivers precisely targeted radiation beams to destroy cancer cells while preserving healthy tissue and cells.

Benefit: Those battling cancer will no longer have to travel elsewhere to receive life-saving treatment. Being able to stay close to home with a nationally recognized cancer program will help ease the challenges of treatment and recovery for both patients and their loved ones.

Investment: This is a long-term investment that will benefit the region for generations to come.
